SpiraPlan Update Process
Step 1 – Send out a notification to the users about the update. Download the update .exe file from Inflectra customer area website.
Step 2 – Check if there are any users currently logged in.
Step 3 – Disable DR Replication (Internal) in MD2 Nakivo application.
Step 4 – Take a manual backup of the server in MD2 Nakivo application.
Step 5 – After the backup is complete, login to DB4 VSphere. Launch Console and login with ‘Spira Plan’ user.
Step 6 – Go to the SpiraPlan update file with .exe extension and run as admin. The update .exe file is to be copied to the ‘C:\‘ drive of the SpiraPlan server.
Step 7 – Follow the steps given in the installation wizard.
Step 8 – Login to SpiraPlan again to check if the update is working properly.
Step 9 – Enable DR Replication (Internal) in MD2 Nakivo application.
Step 10 – Start the Datasync service on the SpiraPlan server.
- Login to Windows as admin.
- Open the ‘Services’ application.
- Find the ‘SpiraTest Data Sync Service’.
- Make sure the service has started - manually start it if needed.
- This will kick-start the ‘Service Account’ user in SpiraPlan.
Step 11 – Send out a notification to the users after the update is finished.
